Wrap bracelets

I will be adding a few new bracelets to the shop very soon (FINALLY), including the one pictured above. Isn't the brass skull awesome?! Unfortunately the shop (and this blog, among other things) suffered the past few months while I was busy with planning my wedding and starting a new job! I am now doing ABA therapy with kids with autism and I love it :)

Did you notice the blog got a facelift? What do you think? More changes to come but it's a start. I also made a new site for my jewelry - check it out and let me know what you think!

That's all for now. More soon, hopefully :)
xo.

Pop-Up Shop Last Days!

Saturday, March 30 is our last day at 4570 Main street!
I meant to post this earlier but I have not been able to keep up with wedding planning (which um, I think I forgot to post about here?! OOPS. I will try to update you on that sitch soon ;) ), day job work and being at the pop-up shop! I will be there all day on Friday & Saturday and will be having a SALE on Saturday! I will be offering a discount on all my regular priced jewelry, probably 15% off. Make sure to drop by to see me before it's all over and get a deal on some fun jewels for spring & summer! The shell & glass bead necklaces (pictured above) are also great as a wrap bracelet, that's how I wear mine in the summer. And semi-precious stone arrowhead necklaces? Perfect sunny weather wear. Pick up two as funky friendship necklaces!
(If you do not live in or around Vancouver but want to take advantage of the deal, email me with what you're interested in purchasing, we'll work it out)

I am going away for the first two weeks of April but when I am back I will have a lot more free time (yesss) and will be working on new stuff to be filling the online shop, and bringing new pieces to Dream. I CAN'T WAIT! Also can't wait for my vacation though: I'm coming for you, Hawaii!! I've never been and there is no better time for a vacation than now!

As for the pop-up shop space, it will be undergoing a transformation (hello much-needed paint!) and will re-open sometime in April with new vendors! So if Main street is your hood, be sure to pop in again and see what's new.

New necklaces

I'm getting excited for summer markets! The first one for me will be this Thursday at the Royal City Farmer's Market in New West. For more info check out the markets/stockists tab up above. Here are some necklaces that I'll have for sale - I really love the new shell necklaces and wrap bracelets! So perfect for sunny days and beach trips.

New Items

I have two posts that are half-way finished (and they're not even big posts) but I can't seem to finish them. So, in the meantime, I'll share these photos that I took yesterday. The lighting and the backdrop I put together made the photos amazing! I think they're the best I've taken of jewelry yet (I'm really psyched about the ones for new listings). The ones here are the three I sent in with my applications to Got Craft and the River Market. I hadn't applied to any markets since I wasn't sure what was going on with my joints so I wasn't sure how jewelry making (and other things) would go. I'd LOVE to be part of Got Craft, but I'd be happy to be part of either, so wish me luck! The other photos I took were for new listings - I plan on putting some up tomorrow. Keep your eyes peeled!

New Items

These are a few of my favourite things. I love the brushed silver rings in these earrings and have a bit of an obsession with gold-tinted Swarovski crystals like these fabulous ones.

This is my favourite of this style of bracelet that I've made so far. It's like strawberries & cream ice cream and ice. It's feminine without being too girly or in your face.

New items

I've started experimenting with making dog collar charms although they would also make a cute addition to a keychain or something like that as well. I think the one above is the first one I did. I'm going to be at the Richmond International Film & Media Arts Festival (I posted the info here) so I think I'll bring them there, unless I get a request for one before that.

I've also added new earrings and bracelets to the shop, as well as two necklaces, if you missed those. Here are a few of the new additions:

Bright & Shiny Things

Here are more crystals from a vintage necklace I took apart and cleaned. Looking forward to making things with them!

Here are some gorgeous glossy round agate beads I picked up at the bead show a few weeks ago.

And here are two of the bracelets I've made with some of the semi-precious stone beads I picked up at the show as well. Love them! They're available in the shop.

Buttons and more buttons

I have just a bit of this n that to show you right now. This post is what my grandma would call a "doggy's breakfast" which basically means a mess and, well, anyhow, it is what it is, haha. The top photo is of some buttons I made with my friend Sam awhile ago. I sold a few at the Blim market. I've been considering throwing some random stuff (older jewelry designs that are still hanging around on sale, these buttons...) into my old Etsy shop but haven't decided yet. Some will make their way into packages as bonuses (if you make a purchase and have a button request let me know and I will try to fulfill your wishes :) ). Below is a very poor photo (sorry) of buttons from the Got Graft swag bag I won in December.

There was a bag full of random old buttons so I cleaned them all and sorted them, as you can see (they didn't even all make it into the photo!) and Ben made fun of my buttons sorted into like half of our cups/shot glasses. So maybe I'm a little crazy when it comes to sorting and organizing. I have no idea what I'll do with them all but two of them have made their way into those woven leather bracelets I've started making (one is pictured below). Here are a couple bracelets that will be in the shop soon:

(enameled metal fish bead, faceted glass and tiger ebony wood bead bracelet)

(woven leather bracelet with faceted glass beads, a sterling silver bead and upcycled button closure)

I've also listed a few new things in the Etsy shop so far this week, including these earrings:

(sterling silver earwires, metal filigree circles and pink dyed jade beads)

I also had a request today for 12 of a keychain I have listed in my shop. I am trying to make it happen but I don't think I'm going to be able to find more of the charms I used :( Bummer! But, it was at least nice to get the request. I'm looking at one more place tomorrow before I message her back.

Hope this wasn't too all over the place! I'll be back soon, hopefully with something more cohesive :)

This is just to say...

That we are still here! I had really meant to have a post up before now, and this will be a quickie because I aught to be in bed :)

I did want to mention that I finally made another of the leather woven bead bracelets (I meant to have a few in the shop by now :S ) and have listed it in the shop:

[available here]

Also, the title of this post is kind of borrowed from one of my favourite poems, which is what I'll leave you with.

Forgive me
they were delicious

Recycle your jewels!

You might have noticed that there's a new tab at the top of the site. I invite you to recycle your unwanted jewelry! I've had a few friends donate some of their old jewelry after doing some spring cleaning: some pieces have already been taken apart and beads and charms are making their way into new jewelry! If you have things gathering dust and taking up space in your jewelry box and you don't know what to do with them, I encourage you to send them to me! You'll receive a coupon for honeywild jewelry in return. Leave a comment here or e-mail me for more information.

I also thought I'd share some photos with you of pieces currently available but not yet in the shop (time has been escaping me so I haven't listed much lately, my apologies). I took them on Monday morning and the light was PERFECT! These are the three photos I'm using for my application the the spring Got Craft market. If you have any questions or are interested in any of the pieces, leave a comment or e-mail me!
